ARTGLASS TELLS THE EXTRAORDINARY ARTISTIC PATH OF GIUSEPPE DE NITTIS IN BARLETTA

“Casa De Nittis” opens its doors with a totally renovated museum layout and an augmented reality experience by ARtGlass. The new route at Palazzo della Marra was inaugurated on 2 December at 5pm by the mayor Pasquale Cascella, the regional councilor Loredana Capone, the president of the Regional Council of Puglia Mario Loizzo, and the curator Christine Farese Sperken. With an exceptional guest: Dacia Maraini.

With the scientific reorganization of the exhibition and the publication of the catalog of works, “Casa De Nittis” allows guests of Palazzo Della Marra to retrace, thanks to testimonies and period documents, the artistic stages and family events of one of the greatest nineteenth-century Italian painters who intertwined his southern origins with the universal vision cultivated in Paris and London.

The itinerary is enriched by the De Nittis Experience of ARtGlass: accompanied by the words of the artist’s diary, visitors have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the key places of his artistic and human journey (Barletta, Naples, Paris, London) and to observe the painted through the author’s own gaze. An engaging journey through the life and work of the greatest Italian exponent of Impressionism.
