DUOMO TIME WALK. AUGMENTED REALITY EXPERIENCE TO DISCOVER THE CATHEDRAL OF MILAN

Starting today, a new way to discover the Duomo is born, enjoying the possibility of an immersive guided tour embellished with an extraordinary immersive experience, through the use of Augmented Reality.
Augmented reality integrates with a virtual image what the visitor sees through the smartglasses, geo-referencing the position and superimposing graphic simulations on the architectural elements and spaces that are observed. The virtual reconstruction thus becomes an aid for the visitor in order to improve understanding of the site in which he finds himself.
It will thus be possible to admire the Archaeological Area of ​​the Cathedral of Milan, with the Baptistery of San Giovanni alle Fonti, through a reconstruction that will take us up to the age of Ambrose, discover the functioning of the Cathedral’s sundial or the ascent of the Nivola up to the Saint Chiodo, exploring the faces and facades of the Monument over the centuries.
The smartglasses used for the project are the Epson Moverio BT-350, ergonomic and resistant, designed to be worn by a large number of visitors, even with prescription glasses, whose 720p HD display and high brightness ensure images sharp and bright colors.
