FROM MONET TO BACON. MASTERPIECES FROM THE JOHANNESBURG ART GALLERY IN VILLA REALE, IN AR WITH ARTGLASS

From 31 March to 2 July 2017, the Villa Reale in Monza hosts a new unmissable exhibition made up of 60 works, including oils, watercolors and graphics that retrace over a century of international art, through its major interpreters, from Claude Monet to Edgar Degas, from Dante Gabriel Rossetti to John Everet Millais, from Pablo Picasso to Francis Bacon, from Roy Lichtenstein to Andy Warhol and many others.

The exhibition, From Monet to Bacon, masterpieces of the Johannesburg Art Gallery, produced by Nuova Villa Reale, Cultura Domani and ViDi, with the collaboration of ArtGlass and the patronage of the Municipality of Monza and the Consulate General of South Africa, is curated by Simona Bartolena . The exhibition allows the public to discover the fascinating history of the Johannesburg Art Gallery, opened to the public in 1910, which boasts a heritage of great artistic value.

Dwelling on the beauty that great artists have left for posterity is one of the purposes that Villa Reale aims to convey to the visitor, also with the now tested help of augmented reality, thanks to ArtGlass which took care of creating texts and reworking the images that will lead to the discovery of information and insights into the work that would not be detectable without their help.

In this regard, a route is proposed consisting of 7 stages which correspond to as many masterpieces, representative of each historical period, with which it will be possible to interact through augmented reality, to appreciate their natural beauty.
