ARTGLASS AND THE “NEW” HOUSE OF GIOACHINO ROSSINI
Two years after the inauguration of the new Civic Museums of Palazzo Mosca, Sistema Museo, in collaboration with the Municipality of Pesaro and the Gioachino Rossini Foundation, presents the birthplace of Gioachino Rossini completely renovated in its layout and in its scientific path.
It opens in the city on Monday 27 July with a long evening from 6.30pm to 11pm (free entry with Pesaro Cult card) and to welcome visitors, to the tune of the famous Barber of Seville, Figaro returns, fully dressed with the tools of the trade, which will be available for beard and hair, in a corner prepared specifically, curated and with the products of Proraso, the Made in Italy of shaving.
The redevelopment of Casa Rossini represents a true unicum at a national level in terms of type and financing method, strengthening Pesaro’s identity as a city of music and anticipating the three-year period 2016-2018 which will be dedicated to its most famous fellow citizen with events and demonstrations.
There are various innovations, including the installation of latest generation technologies that allow you to consult an important and vast scientific heritage in an agile and captivating way.
Multimedia tools are a significant part of the exhibition offering. In addition to the audio and video room, new contents and digitized graphic material (autograph scores of works and letters) can be consulted on touch screens along the route and special stations allow you to listen to sound recordings of the documents/letters, so as to better understand the biographical and artistic events of Gioachino Rossini.
Furthermore, Casa Rossini becomes the protagonist of a valorization project of the highest technological level, thanks to the participation of Art Glass which allows visitors to experience an unprecedented emotional experience through special glasses.
It is precisely through “wearable” technology that visitors enter in a completely new way, into the world of the master! Thanks to virtual animations and videos it is possible to take an exclusive journey into the House Museum.
Wearing multimedia glasses, the master materializes alongside visitors and accompanies them throughout the journey through the rooms where he spent an important part of his life. Gioachino recounts his life full of private anecdotes, presents some works documented with scores and prints and reads some of his letters.

Updated from a multimedia point of view and expanded in the exhibition spaces, Casa Rossini with its new identity is now able to create thematic initiatives and exhibitions and to dialogue more profitably with other institutions.
