ARTGLASS FOR PARMA CAPITAL OF CULTURE 2017. AUGMENTED REALITY TOWARDS THE NEXT 2200 YEARS

There are two projects “signed” by ARt Glass/Gruppo Capitale Cultura in Parma’s candidacy dossier for “Italian Capital of Culture 2017”, introduced last Friday by the mayor of Parma Federico Pizzarotti and presented by the Councilor for Culture Laura Ferraris at the Workout Pasubio space .
The first, entitled “Verdi Reloaded”, is an interactive and immersive itinerary through the places, the music and the life of Giuseppe Verdi, with a narrative fulcrum in the Teatro Regio of Parma and a possible branch into Verdi’s places and itineraries.
The second project is entitled “Correggio, the impossible vision”. The Assumption of the Virgin, which was commissioned to Correggio for the
decoration of the dome of the Parma Cathedral is an absolute masterpiece of the Italian sixteenth century. However, the dimensions of the dome (30 meters high) and the architecture, without direct access, do not allow the visitor to
appreciate the complexity of the masterpiece. Through high definition filming and the augmented reality of ARtGlass, an immersive story will come to life, capable of guaranteeing a close-up view of the work, highlighting the most significant components.
Furthermore, ARtGlass will support the “Nascosta Capital” project to restore the vision of the Pilotta architectural complex through its evolution, acting as a time machine.
