SITEM is a unique event for the world of museums and cultural tourism.

Over the course of three days, experts in museum equipment, enhancement and innovation met. The exhibitors of the cultural and tourist ecosystem offer a variety of solutions:

– Equipment and layout of the area.
– Study and conservation of collections (safety of goods and people, measuring tools, consultancy, digital solutions for the management and dissemination of collections).
– Reception and public management (ticketing, physical and digital mediation, accessibility, marketing studies, etc.).
– Development (sponsorships, communication …).

Also this year SITEM was an opportunity to exchange opinions and get an overview of museum developments thanks to a daring program of national and international conferences.

Innovation has been at the cornerstone of this 24th edition and ARtGlass has decided to participate together and within the Epson area.
For this event, the partners focused on the use of a device, the Epson Moverio BT350 model, more innovative and created specifically for the needs of the cultural visitor.
Through Augmented Reality ARtGlass showed two important sites on which it worked, the Basilica of San Salvatore in Brescia, an integral part of the Unesco site “Lombards in Italy: the places of power” since 2011, and Pompeii, also included in the site Unesco “Archaeological areas of Pompeii, Herculaneum and Torre Annunziata” since 1997.
To respond to the needs of the public and cultural institutions, it was decided to focus attention on the interaction between technology and communication with a solution created for guided tours and with the use of subtitling, also and above all to meet the needs of an audience with disabilities.
There were numerous meetings with specialized operators and managers of French and European cultural sites, which confirmed the absolute uniqueness of the work done by ARtglass, thanks also to the collaboration with the Japanese multinational.
